What Makes Bloomin' Soil Different
Most fertilizers treat all growth stages the same. But here's what most gardeners don't realize—your plants need completely different nutrition when they're flowering compared to when they're just growing leaves.
That's where Bloomin' Soil comes in. While Ancient Soil builds your foundation and Plant Juice fuels vegetative growth, Bloomin' Soil is formulated specifically for the blooming phase. Higher phosphorus. More potassium. The exact nutrient ratios your plants crave when it's time to flower.
We've combined five powerful organic ingredients in ratios that actually work. No guessing. No complicated feeding schedules. Just bigger blooms that last significantly longer.
Inside Every Bag: Five Ingredients That Actually Work
We're not trying to be mysterious about what's in here. Every ingredient serves a specific purpose, and together they create the perfect environment for explosive flower production.
Worm Castings
This is where the magic starts. Worm castings aren't just fertilizer—they're alive with beneficial microorganisms. These tiny helpers break down organic matter and make nutrients available to your plants in a form they can actually use. Plus, they give your plants continuous access to nutrition without the boom-and-bust cycle you get from synthetic stuff. Dig deeper into worm castings.
Volcanic Ash (Azomite)
Ancient volcanic rock dust that contains over 70 trace minerals. Your plants need these micronutrients even though they're used in tiny amounts. Studies have shown it can boost yields by nearly 80% in some crops. It also improves water penetration in compacted soils and helps sandy soils hold moisture better. Nature's multivitamin.
Hydroxyapatite (Seabird Guano)
This is our premium phosphorus source. It comes from centuries-old seabird deposits, and it's been naturally aged to perfection. Phosphorus is absolutely critical for flower formation and energy transfer within your plants. The slow-release form means steady nutrition without the risk of burning your plants or creating nutrient lockout.
Bone Meal
Rich in both calcium and phosphorus. Most people think about phosphorus for flowering, but calcium is the unsung hero. It strengthens cell walls, helps with nutrient transport throughout the plant, and makes your flowers more resistant to disease. Plus it helps develop those strong stems you need to support heavy blooms.
Kelp Meal
Harvested from cold ocean waters and dried into a fine meal. Kelp contains over 70 vitamins and minerals plus natural growth hormones that plants respond to immediately. It increases bloom size, extends storage life of vegetables, and makes plants dramatically more resistant to pests, diseases, and weather stress. Think of it as the organic multivitamin your garden didn't know it needed.
About sourcing: Every ingredient comes from renewable, ethical sources. We're not just trying to grow better plants—we're committed to doing it in a way that doesn't deplete our planet.
Three Ways to Use It
Pick the method that fits your situation. They all work—just depends on whether you're starting fresh or working with established plants.
Choose Your Application Method
- Mix Into New Potting Soil Use Bloomin' Soil at up to 20% of your total mix. So if you're filling a 10-gallon container, use about 2 gallons of Bloomin' Soil mixed thoroughly with coco coir or your regular potting mix. This gives new plantings immediate access to bloom-boosting nutrition from the moment you transplant.
- Top Dress Existing Plants (Most Popular) Sprinkle up to 1 inch of Bloomin' Soil on top of the soil around your established plants. Water it in well. The nutrients will gradually work down into the root zone over the next few weeks. This is what most of our customers do because it's so darn easy.
- Add to Planting Holes When you're transplanting, toss about ½ cup of Bloomin' Soil directly into each planting hole. Mix it lightly with the existing soil, then plant as normal. This puts nutrition right where new roots will find it first.
Pro move: Want maximum results? Use Bloomin' Soil for slow-release solid nutrition and supplement with Bloom Juice liquid fertilizer for fast-acting feeding. Together they create what we call the Complete Flowering System. Solid nutrition meets instant gratification.
