Zamioculcus zamiifolia 'Zenzi' is a cousin of the more vertical ZZ Plant. Zenzi packs a punch with shiny, water-filled leaves. With its dense collection of thick stems on which the thick, green leaves grow, this plant looks like you are growing a miniature exotic jungle.

Care Instructions

  • Watering: When the top 2 inches of soil is dry before watering. They do not require constant watering. If you use a moisture meter, water when the meter reads 2 or less to water. Water thoroughly until it drips out the drainage hole(s). Moisten the soil and do not make it soggy. Avoid overwatering as this will cause root rot and plant death. Cut back on watering during the winter months

  • Lighting: Medium bright indirect light. 8-10 hours in a south-facing window is ideal

  • Soil: Use well-draining mix that allows excess water to drain off easily and provide air circulation to the roots. Add in perlite and/or lava rocks to increase air circulation

  • Temperature: 60-85 degrees is ideal

  • Extra Tips: An easy to care for plant that can tolerate neglect due to the succulent like root system. Filters airborne toxins and is part of our clean air plant collection.

  • Pet Toxicity:  Toxic to pets and humans. Keep away for curious pets.
